About

Launched during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, No Excuse For Abuse is an initiative from Investigation Discovery to raise awareness about the crisis of domestic violence. In partnership with nonprofit NO MORE, we’re expanding our long-standing commitment to educating viewers about the multifaceted and complex dynamics of intimate partner violence.
ID is dedicated to empowering viewers with the knowledge and tools necessary to identify all forms of domestic violence, find support if needed, and become part of the solution. Throughout the month of October, ID will present on-air resources and PSAs for viewers and in conjunction with our partner, we will also share important information across our social and digital channels. We encourage viewers to join the conversation with using #NoExcuseForAbuse.

ABOUT THE NATIONAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HOTLINE
The National Domestic Violence Hotline (The Hotline) has been a trusted, life-saving resource for nearly 30 years. We are the nation’s only 24/7/365 hotline dedicated to supporting victims and survivors of domestic violence, and those who care about them. Our trained advocates offer compassionate support and validation, personalized safety planning, and connections to local resources via call, chat, and text. The Hotline is a critical lifeline for millions of people seeking safety, support, and hope in moments of crisis. To date, we’ve answered more than 7.5 million calls, each representing a moment of courage, resilience, and hope.
